These terms govern your use of property-legals.com and the Property Legals portal, operated by Property Legals Ltd ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to be bound by them.

1. What we do

Property Legals is an introduction and referral service. We connect buyers, sellers and estate agents with regulated UK conveyancers, surveyors, mortgage brokers and removals firms. We are not a law firm, surveying practice, mortgage broker or removals company and do not provide regulated advice.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Referrals and quotes

Where we shortlist or introduce a partner firm, any engagement you enter into is directly between you and that firm, governed by their own terms and regulator. We are not a party to that engagement and do not guarantee any outcome.

4. Referral fees

Partner firms may pay us a referral commission when a client instructs them via our portal. See our Referral fee disclosure for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform, submit false information, scrape data, attempt to bypass security, or use the service for anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the site (excluding user submissions and partner content) is owned by or licensed to Property Legals Ltd. You may not reproduce it without permission.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on any information on it. Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to £100.

8. Third-party content

The site may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, save that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their home nation.
